Why was my account flagged?
Updated over a month ago

If you notice that your account has been flagged, it indicates that our safety system detected something requiring further attention. Here's how this works:

  • Our system found an issue that warranted escalation to the safety team. This is a precautionary measure to ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for all users.

  • If the issue requires additional context to evaluate, the safety team will conduct an investigation into the issue. This process helps us assess the nature of the concern and determine an appropriate and fair next step.

  • In some instances, flags may occur in error. If you believe your account was flagged mistakenly, there's no need to stress. Simply reach out to us via User Support to provide any more information.

  • Flagged issues are documented internally so that we can monitor for patterns of repeated behavioral issues. However, flags are not used against your account for any other reason and no one from the public will be able to see them on your profile.

Note: If you receive a warning message from the Schoolhouse Moderation Bot, it's important to ensure you fully understand what occurred so that your account does not get flagged again. Our goal is to maintain a safe and positive learning environment for everyone on Schoolhouse.
