Creating a post in a Help Channel
Navigate to the subworld of interest
To explore our current subworlds, go to https://schoolhouse.world/explore!
Go to the help channel
On a computer: click on "[Subworld] Help" on the left sidebar
On a phone: click on the box icon in the upper left-corner, then select "[Subworld] Help"
Click on "Ask a question...", which can be found at the top of the page
Select the type of problem you'd like help with. These are your options:
"I have a quick question about a problem (<10 minutes)"
"I need help with an assignment (10-30 minutes)"
"I want to review a topic / learn a new topic (30-90 minutes)"
If you'd like Zoom Help from a tutor, check off "Yes, request Zoom Help!"
Keep in mind that by posting, you agree that you're here to learn! Pressuring someone to do your homework for you may result in the suspension of your account.
Alternative avenues for support
Some tutors may be hosting office hours or sessions that cover the topic you're looking for help with. We recommend checking out the "Sessions" tab in that subworld to see if there are any sessions/series that you're interested in registering for.
If the forum isn't working the way you'd like it to, you can message a tutor by clicking on the "Chat" button on their profile. Please note that, as a learner, you can only message a tutor after you've attended a session with them.
Note: Our User Support volunteers will not be able to assist with academic inquiries. Please direct any homework questions or session requests to the appropriate help channel.
