About

[Will be Adding More Sessions]
About the Course:
I scored a 5 on the AP Biology exam, and I'm here to help you achieve the same success! This course will guide you through every unit of AP Biology, breaking down complex topics into understandable segments to ensure you excel in both your class and the AP exam.

Sessions will be at 1pm EST on Sunday (unless enough students request for a time change)
Course Structure:

Weekly Sessions: The amount of sessions may vary by week, these are possible session types
Session 1: In-depth coverage of the current topic, including detailed explanations and related questions to reinforce understanding. (may have 2 a week)
Session 2: Office hours for additional review, Q&A, and mini-lessons to address specific student needs. (occasionally later in the series after we've covered a couple units, or if requested by several students)
Session 3: If multiple students miss a class, or are confused about a topic I may repeat the class with a different approach to help build a better understanding of the material

Flexible Scheduling: I will try my best to schedule classes in a way where I have adequate time to prepare while also working with students to figure out times that work for the most people

Comprehensive Review: As we approach the AP Test in May, the focus will shift from learning new material to thorough review and exam preparation.

Goals:
Provide clear and detailed instruction on AP Biology topics.
Offer personalized support and additional resources to address individual questions and concerns.
Ensure all students are well-prepared and confident for the AP Biology exam.

I hope this series will be a valuable resource throughout the school year, helping you transition from learning new material to mastering content and acing the AP test in May!

Session 1

AP Biology

We will start Unit 1 of AP biology by discussing how polar covalent bonds in water molecules result in hydrogen bonding and the four emergent properties of water contribute to Earth’s suitability for life!

More classes will be scheduled soon as I develop my lesson plans!

Session 2

AP Biology

This session will be an introduction to AP Biology, we will review on topics you may have already learned and learn about the basic themes of biology! If time permits we may start introducing Unit 1 of AP Biology (Chemistry of Life), by going over the structure of water and hydrogen bonding!

Session 3

AP Biology

A lot of the material in this first session will refer back to freshman/introductory biology classes. The main goal is to get you guys back in the bio mindset and refresh on the basic themes of biology which carry over to AP Biology. We will also get started with Unit 1

Session 7

AP Biology

[Unit 1] - We will be wrapping up unit 1 by going over protein structure & function and nucleic acids! We may have a "quiz" at the end of the session just to gage what topics may need more attention/clarification. I will save all quiz results to also use as a reference during the lead up to the AP Test in May!
