We're thrilled to announce that Schoolhouse has doubled its partnerships with colleges and universities across the United States! Now, 38 institutions recognize the Schoolhouse Portfolio as part of their admissions process, marking a significant step toward achieving our mission of connecting the world through free, peer-to-peer tutoring.

A Major Milestone for Our Mission

This expansion is not just about numbers; it's a powerful affirmation of our commitment to making education accessible and equitable for all students. By partnering with more colleges, we are creating pathways for students to showcase their achievements and contributions as tutors. The Schoolhouse Portfolio highlights not only academic mastery but also the dedication to helping others succeed—qualities that colleges increasingly value in their admissions processes.

Empowering Students Through Quality Tutoring

At Schoolhouse, we believe in the transformative power of peer-to-peer learning. Our platform offers free online tutoring sessions where students can connect with certified volunteer tutors for personalized support in various subjects, including math and SAT preparation. This model empowers students to take charge of their education while fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration.

Diverse Partnerships for Greater Impact

The diversity of our partner colleges reflects the rich tapestry of American higher education. From private and public institutions to state flagships and HBCUs, these partnerships open new doors for students from all backgrounds. By providing a standardized way for admissions officers to assess skills and experiences, we ensure that every student has a fair chance to shine, regardless of their circumstances.

University of South Carolina’s Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions, Dr. Elizabeth Orehovec explained, “Rural students often face barriers when exploring their college options including limited access to college prep activities. Our goal is to work directly with students, families and others in the community to highlight resources like Schoolhouse as a way to improve accessibility and college preparedness.”
