These sessions are designed to help you read and appreciate “Unfortunately, It Was Paradise” by Mahmoud Darwish, a poem that expresses the longing for a homeland and the beauty and hardship of life. You will learn about the author, the historical and cultural context, the poetic devices, the themes, and the emotions of the poem. You will also share your personal interpretations, connections, and reflections with your peers, and develop your critical thinking, communication, and empathy skills.
