This series was cancelled by the tutor on June 22, 2024. We're very sorry–you can explore more Enrichment series here. All 1:1 and group chats related to this series are disabled 7 days after the last session.

About

Our first session will introduce some key concepts in studying and things you should take note of in a study routine to know if it's working for you. Then, we'll start rotating through our tutors who all have different experiences, fields of study, studying at different levels and have different barriers/challenges like having a specific disability or not having access to a computer or private study room. I utilise all the tools on schoolhouse quite a lot, so you can expect a lot of engagement in Group Chats and some questionnaires in Assessments that will help you create or improve your study routine step by step.

We will be adding new sessions as more co-hosts join. There is no limit to the number of people who can share, so any tutors who are interested in sharing and/or hearing feedback, please put in a co-host request!

Hi! I’m currently a Master's student studying public policy. I'm hoping to do more work in nonprofits. I have a very specific educational background in Southeast Asian history, culture and politics, and a rather interesting pathway to Master's (I'm a disabled international student with no prior tertiary qualification). I've also worked as a business consultant in the tech industry and I love cooking!

I'm a high school graduate from Arizona, and I am so happy to help out here! I have passed 15 AP exams (US Gov, CSP, Lang, Euro, Calc AB, Comp Gov, Biology, Chemistry, Physics 1, Lit, French, Statistics, US History, Seminar, & Research), scoring a 5 on 13 of those exams and a 4 on the other 2. If you have any questions on any of the aforementioned APs, or on the dSAT/PSAT/ACT, please feel free to reach out!:)

This is the first session for our little Notetaking and Study Routines sharing circle! No one will be presenting their study routines today. Instead, we'll cover basic concepts like 'How does sleep and caffeine affect studying' and 'Why is Pomodoro so popular? How does it work?' and 'What is ergonomic?' and most importantly, 'How do I even tell if this is working for me?' Knowing the different factors that go into a study routine, how to tell if one is working for you and how to actively improve it even after the series ends are core skills that will help you throughout the series.
