About

Hi, my name is Tahmid, and I will be helping you succeed in the Reading and Writing section of the Digital SAT if you sign up for my boot camp. I got a 750 on the R&W section on the August SAT, I am an avid reader with a large vocabulary, and I am currently taking AP Lang, between those three factors, I do believe that I will be able to greatly assist you in your endeavor to do well on the SAT. The R&W section of the DSAT is considerably more nebulous than the Math, unlike the Math, it isn't just knowing a few formulas and strategies, and it can be very daunting to those who aren't as well-read as me, fortunately for you, I am already experienced in teaching others on how to succeed on the R&W section, I studied for the SAT mostly with two close friends of mine for two months, at the beginning of the two months both of them were in the 450-550 range for the R&W whereas I started with a solid 650, I helped them learn grammar, vocabulary, and everything else they needed for the DSAT and one scored a 720 on the reading, the other scored a 740.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in both Reading and Writing & Language. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain.

We'll spend time reviewing all of the previous Focus Skills we covered together. To end the session (and the bootcamp!), we'll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice/encouragement.
