About

After a basic introduction to differential equations, we will go over different kinds of differential equations and see how we can solve them.

About the Tutor

I am a rising junior in Bengaluru and I am particularly passionate about mathematics, and how it can be applied to supplement other areas of scientific study. I am excited to explore the SHW Community and help other students with my knowledge. I hope to make this a great learning experience for all of us.

Session 1

Differential equations

Introduction to differential equations and formation of ordinary differential equations.

Session 2

Differential equations

We will go over a few problems regarding what we discussed in the previous session. We will start with problems in the homework.
30
Sep

Session 3

Differential equations

Solving ordinary differential equations of first order and first degree, when variables are separable or the equation is reducible to such a form. Although we would focus on the methods and not on integration itself, revising some of the common integrals before the session will be helpful.

Session 4

Differential equations

Solving ordinary differential equations of first order and first degree, when the equation is reducible to a form with separable variables. Although we would focus on the methods and not on integration itself, revising some of the common integrals before the session will be helpful. If you have any questions from the homework problems, you can ask me at the beginning of this session.

Session 5

Differential equations

We'll be introduced to homogenous equations, and will then be going through some methods for solving homogenous differential equations of first order and first degree. If you have any questions from the homework problem-set, we can discuss them at the beginning of the session.

Session 6

Differential equations

We'll be introduced to equations reducible to homogenous equations, and will then be going through some methods for solving such differential equations of first order and first degree. We'll also touch upon linear differential equations (also called Lagrange's linear differential equations) if time permits.

Session 7

Differential equations

We will be practicing some problems related to homogenous differential equations and linear differential equations. If you have any questions from the homework problem-set, we can discuss them at the beginning of the session.
