About

We take Search for granted (the wonders of Google!!). But how does it work?

We’ll explore the key concepts in this two-session Summer Camp.

Three things to note:

1. This series will use the “flipped classroom” design — there will be (a small amount of) homework prior to each session, so that we can utilize session time for discussion and working together.
2. Well will explore Search using pseudocode, and will not directly code in any specific programming language (Python, Javascript, etc.). 

3. Our keywords are “fun, stimulating and rigorous.” Our goal — that each of us have an “aha” moment at some point during this short Series.

The ‘homework’ will be to watch a video segment from David Malan’s CS50 course that focuses on Search (linear and binary). (The link and specifics will be posted at least one week before our session).

We’ll discuss this, and then use pseudo-code to explore the thinking behind each type of Search in some depth.
