Session Safety Measures

Student safety is our top priority.

Tutor certification and training

Before tutoring, prospective tutors complete a multi-hour certification and training process that focuses on fostering safe environments for learning.

Monitored and recorded sessions

We record every tutoring session over Zoom, and we have a dedicated team of trained volunteers who regularly peer review recordings for safety and quality.

Community reporting

All community members (both learners and tutors) are given a safe place to report any behavior that violates our Community Guidelines.

Volunteer tutoring opportunities for your students

Your high-achieving students can become SAT or academic tutors on our platform to gain volunteer hours and strengthen their college applications. They’ll also have the opportunity to meaningfully give back to their peers and make friends around the world!

Schoolhouse Portfolio

Students can build a Schoolhouse tutoring portfolio to share with colleges

We've partnered with 38+ colleges who recognize Schoolhouse portfolios as a way to demonstrate college readiness. Students can highlight their certifications and tutoring experience in their portfolios.
