Hey Guys! Judging by how much of a discussion applying to colleges and writing applications creates, I thought it would be an interesting idea for you all to get an idea from someone who has studied abroad! My writing methods are someone different to those you have met, as I come from a professional public speaking background. I'm also here to answer questions on courses and my own experiences having studied Law, Business, History and Economics in a universtity/college setting. (Aspiring International students... this is also for you!)

I will be reviewing your essay :) and throwing some brainstorms to help strengthen writing.

In this series we will go over all parts of the application process, from choosing schools, to writing the essays, to applying for scholarships, to discussion what to expect. Every aspect you can think of will be covered, and feel free to request sessions that you think will be the most helpful.

There are always a bunch of applicants so it's in your best interest to hook the AOs with an endearing and compelling introduction. We'll delve into how to do that.

In this workshop, we will cover all aspects of the process of applying/receiving financial aid, as well as all the different forms of aid that exist.

The goal of these sessions is for attendees (ideally prospective, new, or new-ish tutors) to leave feeling comfortable about how to navigate Schoolhouse, understand the value of tutoring at Schoolhouse, & generally feel excited & informed enough to contribute to our mission.

Tessa will share tips and advice as you approach the essay writing process for STEM-focused universities and share about the college experience at Caltech. There will also be space for a Q&A. Tessa Tweet is a Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Caltech.

Join Jacob DeLuca from SMU for a virtual workshop on building your applicant profile within a holistic college process. Jacob will share tips and advice on how to navigate the admissions process and discuss the college experience at SMU. There will also be time allotted for Q&A. Jacob DeLuca is a Regional Director of Admission at the Southern Methodist University (SMU).

In this workshop, we will discuss the next steps in the waitlist process and how to maximize your chances of turning a waitlist offer into an acceptance! We will also go over everything you need to know about writing a compelling waitlist/deferral letter and give advice based on our personal experiences with waitlists.
