Enrichment Series
SHW Book and Literary Appreciation and Awareness Club
5th session
Please don't be alarmed by the really long title of this series! This series is essentially for a book club. We'll be talking about books, films, comics, and more. You all can share all that you like! We can have fun debates and conversations about common tropes and ideas we see in the media. Please do not stop yourself from joining if you don't like books! Maybe you just don't like reading but I'm sure this club can allow you to take a greater interest in books. Even if you don't like books, we can look at many literary and non-literary texts like films, comics, mangas and more! Hey guys, I think I'll stick to holding one or two sessions a month.

Intermediate Chinese
54th session
This course is for students who want to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension skills. It is not lecture-based and consists primarily of students' practice. There will be a lot of repetitions in order to enhance the memory of the words and phrases. We will use Discovery Chinese and some other textbooks, but you do not need to buy them. We will mainly use simplified Chinese characters but may show some traditional Chinese characters to expand the learning. Students must set up their computers to enable PinYin to type Chinese characters while attending the class. I will add more sessions as we go.
