About

Hate memorizing? Me too. The goal of this series is to avoid it at all costs. Starting from as basic as I can go, we will build the functions and their inverses and then take their derivatives. The goal of this series is to give you some basic shape patterns that you can use to build everything from scratch in a matter of minutes, so you don't need to memorize them for your tests.

Session 1

Differentiation: definition and basic derivative rules

I will give you a series of challenges that will get you to build the trig functions from scratch, find specific values, and find the derivative of sinx, cosx and tanx geometrically.

Session 2

Differentiation: composite, implicit, and inverse functions

I will give you a series of challenges to figure out the derivatives of secx, cotx, cscx, and the inverses of each function.

Session 3

Infinite sequences and series

Using the values we determined and our knowledge of derivatives in the first episode, to probe these functions further and figure out their values to arbitrary accuracy. This will likely be a 2 or 3 parter.
