Series Details

About

This tutoring series will cover the format of AP History FRQs, which will be applicable for AP World History, AP European History, and AP US History. By the end of the series, we will have gone through formats for all different types of AP History FRQs (SAQs, LEQs, and DBQs), and we will do some practice examples. Each session we will go through a different type of FRQ, in chronological order the way you will see them on exam day. We will be having a small group, so expect interactive sessions in which we discuss different strategies and peer review each other's examples and practice. I hope to see you in this series!

Tutor Qualifications

I've taken the courses for every AP History Exam, and I've scored a 5 on APUSH & AP Euro.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Although I would highly recommend attending each session, it is completely fine if you need to miss a session here and there. All I ask, though, is that you let me know which sessions you won't be attending.

If you have any questions on any of the aforementioned APs, or on the dSAT/PSAT/ACT, please feel free to reach out!:)

Session 2

US History

We'll begin with a quick review of SAQ writing before proceeding into the LEQ rubric and formatting. We will look into how to maximize efficiency on the LEQ, as well as how to know which prompt to pick and what to do if you're stick on an LEQ. Because of the long nature of an LEQ, we will not do a group practice on writing a full length LEQ, but we will create an outline for an LEQ and peer review sample essays.
