About

Hi there! I'm Anika, and I'm thrilled to assist others in enhancing their skills and gaining a better grasp of the SAT's Reading and Writing section. In my past SAT experiences, the R and W section initially appeared to demand a lot of knowledge not covered in school. Interestingly, I discovered through my challenges that it's not as complicated as it might seem. I can't wait to share my knowledge with others!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in both Reading and Writing & Language. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

I'm a freshman from California and I'm here to tutor for the SAT. My academic interests are in math, biology, and language arts. I enjoy playing jazz on the piano and going for runs.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain.
