About

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a published author? Well, this series is for you! We will go through the basics of writing a book manuscript, publishing, and giving back to the community. With this class, you will learn how to write a strong manuscript, that you can later edit, and how to publish through self-publishing platforms–for free!

Tutor Qualifications

I am an award-winning children's book author and writer. My children's book, True Colors, won the 2021 Literary Titan Book Award, the 2021 Purple Dragonfly Book Award for multiple categories, and was nominated as a finalist for the 2022 Feathered Quill Book Award. In addition, I have conducted several Meet the Author sessions to talk about my book and share different ways one can use their creativity to give back to the community. On that note, I am actively engaged with several literary magazines, as I have published my articles, poems, narratives, nature photographs, and book reviews on these literary platforms. I have also won the 2021 Skipping Stones Youth Honor Award for my work that conveys the message of nature preservation. To add, I am also a student writer for my community magazine. I actively contribute by covering community events and writing articles for the magazine. I am continuing to attend writing workshops organized by multiple platforms to develop my writing skills.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

100% attendance is recommended, but if you are unable to attend a class, I can schedule a review class, as needed.
