About

Salvete omnes! (Hello all!) I'll be gearing this series toward what registered learners are interested in, but I plan to give a basic overview of Latin grammar, some translation, and Roman history and culture. Again, based on where interests lie, we can focus on any of these topics, or even branch out to others, like popular phrases and conversation. I look forward to seeing you there!

Tutor Qualifications

I have taken Latin formally for 4 years, have had some experience for 7 years, and I will be going on to AP Latin in the fall. I also have written some Latin poetry in my free time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please try not to miss the first few sessions as these will cover the fundamentals of Latin. The rest of the sessions will cover topics of interest, so feel free to attend as many as you'd like! Please also message me if you are planning to miss any session just so I have an idea for planning purposes.

About the Tutor

Hi everyone, my name is Sophia, and I’m a college sophomore from Pennsylvania, double majoring in music education and mathematics. In high school I took AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Physics 1, and AP Music Theory, as well as a few others. When I’m not playing my piano, bassoon, or guitar, I can be found reading, cooking, volunteering at my local horse barn, or binge-watching Star Trek! I love to learn and get that "eureka" moment, and I’m really excited to help others do the same. Can’t wait to meet you all!

Session 5

Review

We will go review the grammar we have learned, and clear up any confusion. Latin grammar can be very complex, so if there is anything you do not understand, now is the time to ask about it. If we still have time, we will try some translation.
