About

Chess is a game with many appeals. It can be a sophisticated, beautiful work of art. It can be an adrenaline-driven, nerve-wracking slugfest. Plus, there's always the satisfaction of beating your friends and random online strangers. Whatever your reason to play, it's undeniable that getting good requires knowledge and instruction. With this series, I'm going to attempt to teach everything I know about chess, from how the pieces move to how to checkmate with bishop and knight to how to obtain and convert a positional advantage. All players, regardless of skill level, will gain some knowledge from this series, as well as a good time playing and learning chess. See you there!

Tutor Qualifications

I have been actively playing chess for 3 years, and in that time I have amassed a library of chess resources and knowledge. I also have 2 years of experience teaching chess to students of all ages and skill levels.
