About

If you are taking Pre-Calculus next year, this series is perfect for you. I will give you a jump start to the year so that you will feel much more relaxed in the class because you have already learned what is being taught for most of the fall. We will first cover composite and inverse functions. Then we will jump into trigonometry which is the biggest and most important unit for precalculus.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

You will be withdrawn from the series if you have more than 3 unexcused absences in a row. Please message the tutor in advance for any absences!

Session 1

Composite and inverse functions

We will learn about composite functions and how to evaluate them through tables and graphs.

Session 2

Composite and inverse functions

We will learn about invertible functions and I will give examples of functions that are and aren't invertible. We will learn them through graphs and tables. If we have time, we will learn about restricting the domain to make the functions invertible.

Session 3

Review

This will be a review session for the topics we learned for invertible functions and I will provide questions for everyone to do to make sure everyone understands the problems. If the topics are still a bit hazy, we will go over the topics again.

Session 4

Trigonometry

We will learn about degrees that you already know and radians that you probably don't know. We will then learn about what they represent and how to convert between the two.

Session 5

Trigonometry

We will learn about the other trigonometric functions such as tangent, cotangent, secant, and cosecant. We will then look at the graphs for each of them.
