About

Hello! My name is Oz, and this is the second SAT Bootcamp I've hosted. I strive to create inclusive and fun sessions that are always learner-driven. I want learners to enjoy engaging with class material, and I prioritize thoughtful student-led discussions over lectures. In this particular Bootcamp, we will tackle the Reading and Writing section of the SAT, reviewing practice tests and revising skills through targeted exercises. I know preparing for the SAT can feel daunting and tiresome, but I will work to ensure that our classes are not only helpful but also genuinely fun and engaging. :)

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in both Reading and Writing & Language. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

About the Tutor

Hii! I'm a high school student going into 12th grade this fall. I'm certified to tutor all of Pre-Algebra and various topics in Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Although I'm not certified yet, I'm also relatively well-versed in Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB. I live in Washington State, and in my free time, I enjoy watching movies, reading dystopian lit, and walking my dog!

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain.
