About

What do Siri, Ceres, and series have in common? Not much, except for how they’re pronounced!

In each session, we’ll dive into 1 of these 3 seemingly unrelated topics. By the end of the series, you should know a lot more about:
  • 🍏 Siri — Apple’s virtual assistant that uses voice commands to perform tasks and answer questions on devices like iPhones and iPads. Learn more

  • 🌖 Ceres — the closest dwarf planet to the Sun and Earth, and the only one in the inner solar system. Learn more
  • 🧮 Series — the sum of a sequence of numbers generated according to a specific pattern or rule, whether finite or infinite. Learn more

Do any of these things seem interesting? If so, consider joining this 3-day series to learn so much more about Siri, Ceres, and series!

Tutor Qualifications

I own an iPhone and a MacBook and have extensive experience using Siri. I’m an astronomy enthusiast, I own a telescope, and I’ve learned some interesting facts about Ceres. I am 100% certified in Pre-Calculus, which the topic of series is often included in.

About the Tutor

Hey there! I'm Joe, a college freshman with a strong passion for math, computer science, and education. I have been homeschooled all the way through high school and currently reside in Oregon, USA. I'm glad to be a part of this wonderful community! I'm here to learn what I don't know and teach what I do know! I can tutor in any math topic ranging from pre-algebra to calculus, with a particular enthusiasm for geometry and trigonometry. I scored 790 on the Math section of the SAT, so I'm equipped to help with SAT Math prep as well. In addition to being a tutor here at Schoolhouse, I serve as a Geometry Subworld Moderator and a Tutor Coach. I was previously an SAT Bootcamp Guide and a member of the Welcoming Team. For fun I enjoy computer programming, keeping up with tech innovations, playing chess, solving Rubik's Cubes, stargazing with my refractor telescope, playing pickleball, and hiking the scenic trails of Oregon. I look forward to working with you!
