We'll be working through reading on the SAT, over a 6 week period, working through every possible type of passage you can expect to see on the SAT. Starting from effective reading techniques, and types of SAT passages we will eventually cover pacing and other broader test day strategies.
The classes will be based on where you are with your prep, and there will be additional office hours and group study sessions.
✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY
While there is no strict attendance policy, I suggest attending most sessions if possible, since the topics covered will be sequential.

This will be an informal informational meeting. We will start with introductions and go over a course outline before a few preseries surveys. This is really just a casual meeting to get to know where everyone is at and establish goals, so don't stress!

We're going to get started on some Literature Passages as a warm-up and talk fundamental reading strategies before I brief the pre-series quiz for the next class. As the first *official* session, this meeting is just going to be a warm-up for everyone to get comfortable with where they're at and have some fun!

I will be working through the pre-series quiz and addressing any questions regarding the quiz. We will then do some reading exercises with the passages from the quiz with a focus on identifying the main ideas, paragraph summarization, and transition words.

Today, we will work through a literature passage and a science passage. We will read, annotate, and solve the passages together.

Today is going to be a practice day. You will be working through some literature and science passages independently, applying the reading techniques we covered. I will have time to explain the questions you had trouble with at the end of every passage.
