About

We'll go through important ideas in the domain of Computer Science (Game Theory, Exploration/Exploitation tradeoff, Search and Decision making in uncertainty etc.) and Physics (Concept of relativity and time, resonance, entropy/information etc) and understand how we can apply these concepts to understand aspects of our own lives. These sessions will be interactive, so you'll be the explorers and I'll be your guide.

Tutor Qualifications

I completed my undergrad in Engineering Physics and have a journal publication in Quantum Computing. Recently, I also completed my Masters in Computer Science and have been teaching machine learning to people in industry for the past 2 years.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

You will be withdrawn from the series if you have more than 2 unexcused absences in a row and the spot will be made open for someone else. To avoid this, just message the tutor in advance for any absences!

Orientation

In this session, we'll keep things a bit light, get to know each other, set expectations for the remaining sessions of the series, and try to understand a bit about one of the most groundbreaking ideas in the 20th century, the concept of relativity and the illusion of time. Don't worry too much about the pre-requisites. As long as you understand basic multiplication/division and come with an open mind, you should be good. I am there to help you out.

In this session, we'll learn about the basics of Game Theory, which talks about the idea of how to maximize your potential reward in a setting when others are involved and their actions impact your decisions.

In this session, we'll continue with Game Theory, and see it in action when multiple parties are involved, and how to make progress when we need arriving at a consensus even when the individual parties are not completely trusting of each other.

In this session, we'll start learning about the exploration/exploitation tradeoff, which aims at maximizing your long-term rewards in a world full of possibilities.
