About

In this series, we will go over what you need to do to maximize your SAT reading/writing score. This will be a mix of Q&A time, going over concepts and skills, and practicing what an actual SAT Reading/Writing section will be like!

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

This series is more structured, so please notify me if you have to skip a class or leave early/come late. If a student has more than 2 unexcused absences in a row, you will be withdrawn from the series.

About the Tutor

Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am a senior. I love to travel, read, crochet, and hang out with my friends. As someone who has always been extremely stubborn and a bit of a perfectionist, my goal has always been to achieve my greatest potential no matter how much time and effort it takes, and it is my hope that I can help you accomplish this too! Everything is just a puzzle waiting to be solved, and through Schoolhouse, I'd like to guide students through their SAT journey so that they can overcome any obstacle they might come across.

For this first lesson, I will introduce the SAT Reading/Writing section to everyone. Please come with questions 1-21 on the Practice Test 1 Reading section and questions 1-22 on the Writing section finished. We will spend most of the time going over question by question on the test.

Review

In this class, we will take a Reading and Writing section of a practice test together (~ 20 minutes). We will then go over these questions as a final review.  In whatever time is left, we will play a short Kahoot on grammar rules that will appear on the SAT. Any additional questions students have about the Reading/Writing section of the SAT can be answered here!

***Especially for any students preparing for the PSAT***
