About

A little about me: I'm an ambitious high school junior from a New England suburb. Currently signed up for 11 AP exams in May and desperately trying to keep up. I have a pretty strong background in statistics and mathematics (have worked on numerous projects involving statistics, scored perfect on the SAT and ACT math sections), but I have never taken a formal statistics course. On to the details of the course: I plan to self study all of AP Stats over my Christmas break. To give myself some motivation, I'll be hosting this series of 90 minute sessions every day. Before each session, I'll study the unit and try to obtain the best understanding I can. During the session, we'll attempt practice problems and review concepts together. At times, we'll definitely be learning together, but I hope that I will be able to enrich your understanding in some way, whether or not you are taking AP statistics. Of course, I welcome any AP stats students or alumni who are willing to help us out. Hope to have some regular attendees, and let's have fun together!

About the Tutor

Hey, I'm Aubrey! I'm an American high school junior from Connecticut. I've scored a 1600 on the SAT and 5s on the AP US History, AP AB Calculus, and AP Computer Science Principles exams. I'm comfortable with teaching the SAT and math concepts up to Calculus 3. This year, I am taking a further 10 AP exams. One interesting thing about me, which may be of note to you if you're attending my math-related tutoring sessions, is that I have a condition called aphantasia, meaning that I cannot visualize things in my mind. This means that if you're a highly visual person, it may be difficult for me to explain some concepts to you. Outside of school, I enjoy running, reading, and working to promote international development and poverty alleviation. I am usually willing to help you with anything if I can, including hosting individual sessions for you, so feel free to reach out!
