Series Details

About

In this series we will cover many different aspects of basic French. This is intended for learners who are complete beginners in French - with very little knowledge (or none at all!). We will begin with the very basics of the language, then work towards building sentences and holding simple conversations. New vocabulary will be sprinkled within each session and it will be tailored to you and your interests!

Tutor Qualifications

My first language is French, and I have also attended French schools in Canada all throughout elementary and secondary school.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

All (but one) sessions are mandatory in order to get the most out of this series. With this in mind, please advise me if you will miss any sessions (and I can provide you with the missed material, and/or meet in office hours with you).

Please note that session six (on diacritics) is completely optional! This is an aspect that is not crucial to French, but it is quite interesting.

About the Tutor

Hey all, I'm Sophie! I'm a biology and forensic science student in Halifax, Canada. My favourite activities are playing ice hockey, reading, participating in any and all sports, and spending time outdoors :). I tutor mostly in French, chemistry, biology and a little bit of math here and there. I hope to see you at my sessions!
