We'll go through all the units in the AP CSP course, reviewing each unit every week. By the end of the series, you should have a firm grasp on the fundamentals of the AP CSP course, helping you succeed in your school course and the AP test!

Tutor Qualifications

I have completed the AP Computer Science Principles course at my high school and got a 5 on the AP test. I am also the Vice President of my school's Programming Club.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please try not to miss more than two sessions in a row, and try your best to inform me when you will not be able to attend. That way, I can accommodate the curriculum to fill you in on what you missed.

Orientation

In this session, we will review the basics of AP CSP. What does the course contain? How can I prepare for the curriculum? What resources can I use? What is the Create Task? In this session, I will do my best to introduce the essentials of the course to you.

Computer Science

In this unit, we will be reviewing the first unit in the AP CSP course Big Data. We will discuss lossless vs. lossy compression, binary numbers and data transmission. What is data? How can it be used? These are but a few of the questions that will be discussed in today's session.

Computer Science

In this session, we will cover the second unit of AP CSP: Programming. We will discuss data structures, iteration, selection, and sequencing. This session will teach the basics of computer logic. No programming experience or knowledge in programming languages are needed!

Session 4

Computer Science

In this session, we will talk about Unit 4 of AP CSP: Computing Systems and Networks. We will be talking about the Internet, parallel vs. distributed computing, and many other types of systems. What is a network? What is the World Wide Web? What are IP addresses, domains, and servers? These are but a few of the questions that will be answered during this session.
