About
Qualifications:
I am a dual enrolled junior in high school, college, and AP curriculum who has passed ENC1101 and ENC1102 with a solid 'A' in each course. I fulfilled all of my high school and college AA English requirements by the end of my sophomore year of high school. In addition, I consider myself a virtual school guinea pig for taking AP English Language and Composition online with a solid 'A' in the course and 5 on my mock examination during my sophomore year.
I received a 35 on the ACT English section when I tested recently this October and am a published student writer for a local newspaper. Right now, I am working on "refurbishing" one of my old stories from middle school and getting it published as well as finally releasing my own original music I started making when I entered high school.
In this session, we will discuss the fundamentals of English grammar from a college perspective such as:
- perfect past tense, past tense, present tense, future tense, and future perfect tense
- sentence syntax, diction, and connotation -> how this ties into plagiarism and why it's important to always quote sources
- how a thorough understanding of English grammar can help in so many ways (SAT, ACT, learning a new language, etc.)
Please bring yourself, any questions you may have, and note-taking materials (optional)!
