Welcome to my novella club! Throughout this series, we will be reading classic novellas (short novels) from some of the most influential and famous authors of all time! The goal of this series is for you to develop the skills to analyze and appreciate works of literature. Since novellas provide tons of room for higher thinking analysis, in each session we will be discussing plot, character, setting, and deeper meanings of the novella that we are reading. To make the series entertaining, there will be many occasions when you will have debates among fellow learners. And, we will even play trivia games relating to our current novella!

We will meet once a week and do various writing exercises to overcome writer's block! We will also proofread each other's stories and give each other feedback. The series will be flexible and chill (we can even have sessions where everyone just independently writes), and any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. I look forward to meeting everyone! :)

We will cover the 10 units in the Grammar unit in Khan Academy and review SAT-focused grammar topics. I will simplify all the information into fun, engaging slides as well have games we can play to better understand the concepts. I will also cover how to apply that form of grammar in your writing. Classes are every other Saturday. Our sessions will end January 18th unless notified of another date. Looking forward to seeing you there!

This study group aims to make the language and analysis of classic literature (Shakespeare, Brönte, Dostoyevsky, Camus, Fitzgerald, etc) less daunting and verbose and to foster understanding and enjoyment of classic novels and plays.

Each week, we’ll go over a Taylor Swift song. We will talk about the title definition, some confusing lyrics and stuff like that.

Struggling to focus? Having trouble completing your English assignments? Come to our R&W Subworld Study Space where we semi-independently work on our assignments together and seek help from peers if needed. This will not be a tutoring session. We will use the Pomodoro study method (25 minutes of study + 5 minutes of break). If you encounter a problem, you can post it in the chat to see if anyone can help. The purpose is to create an environment where people are encouraged to complete their assignments. As for those who didn't struggle with your assignment, feel free to come and see it as a study space :)
