About

搭建好! Here is the session plan: [Brief Self-Introductions] [Best Methods for Language Studying] [Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Writing System Similarities & Differences] [Test Readings] [Any Extra Questions!] You will not need anything else except for yourself! If you plan to take notes, bring a tablet, notebook and pen/pencil, or whatever suits you best. No prior knowledge in any of the East Asian languages is required; however, some basic knowledge on the cultures and origins would be preferable considering that I will be going into detail regarding the specifications of each language listed above. If all goes well, I may host a series for Foreign Languages in the future! Excited to see everyone. :)

Tutor Qualifications

Foreign languages and cultures are one of my greatest passions -- Born into a multilingual family, I grew up speaking Indonesian, English, and fragments of Javanese living a double life in terms of heritage.

I've been learning Japanese (on/off based on my hectic schedule) since 5th grade. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I immersed myself in East Asian culture and media learning basic Mandarin Chinese and Korean along the way (est. 8th grade). As for Arabic -- I learned the alphabet in 7th grade from Madrasa.

In middle school/junior high (USA), I took World Languages 1 (basic Japanese, Mandarin, Hindi, and Arabic) and World Languages 2 (mainly basic Spanish and French). I took Spanish throughout Elementary and Middle School and transitioned to French in my freshman year of high school. Last year, I was the only freshman in my French class who won the highest proficient ranking in my high-school and county for French poem recital.
