You are clearly very knowledgeable and comfortable with calculus, very qualified as a tutor! You explained the intuition behind calculus really well, which I thought was super cool (especially when you were dealing with the definition of derivatives). Instead of just teaching your learner the power rule / formulas, you explain where they come from, and what exactly a derivative is finding (the rate of change). This can be seen all throughout, but especially at times like when you were explaining why the derivative of a constant is 0 (instead of just applying the power rule, you showed it graphically and explained it in an intuitive way).

I found this session extremely helpful, as I gained confidence with my tutoring skills and learned new methods of getting learners to interact. This SAT math onboarding session was extremely helpful! Akshita was helpful, patient, and kind, and she validated all of our opinions. I felt comfortable asking questions, and I think this onboarding session will ultimately have a huge positive impact on my abilities as a tutor. She increased my confidence as a tutor a lot because she is an extremely eloquent speaker who has a very positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
