She asked things like "Are you familiar with...?" and tried to pinpoint specific concepts that the students needed review in, proving to be very useful to the productivity of the session. When a student mentioned a concept he had recently learned, she even explained that this prior knowledge was more advanced than the class would be and warned the student. She gave him separate, harder problems to work on during the review portion he did not need. This shows that the tutor cares and is assessing, and adapting to, her learners adequately. Throughout the solving of each practice problem, she asked guiding questions that the learners would answer intermittently which is a clear sign of engagement.
