Hi! My name is Janelle, and I'm so excited to help you prep for the SAT! I've tutored 3 bootcamp series in the past, and have been a tutor with schoolhouse for about 6 months now. I have also tutored within my community for the past 2 years. I absolutely love having the opportunity to help others deepen their understanding of a variety of concepts, while also showing them that anything can be fun, if you know how to find it! My aim for this series is to not only increase your understanding of SAT concepts, but also show you how to make taking and studying for the SAT more enjoyable overall, through sharing with you a variety of strategies that have helped me! Personally, I used to despise reading. However, a few years ago, I rediscovered my love of fictional works, and, ever since then, I enjoy pretty much any book I can get my hands on (especially fantasy, sci-fi, and romance novels). Thus, I always try to make sessions as exciting as possible, through the integration of mini-games, icebreaker activities, and mini-tips within every session. Hope to see you there!

Hello! My name is Janelle, and I'm so excited to help you prep for the SAT! I've been a tutor at Schoolhouse for a few months now and love the platform's flexibility and how it allows me to provide personalized support to every learner I am aiding. Throughout the series, we will go over test-taking strategies, what I've picked up from the DSAT format, and, of course, the content of the Reading and Writing section of the SAT- placing emphasis on the subjects you feel weakest in. I spend most of my free time reading (particularly fantasy novels) and am so excited to help you learn not only to understand how to crush the SAT reading section, but to (hopefully) help you develop a genuine love for reading, too!
