About

Hello! I'm a high school student. I enjoy reading fantasy and really any genre of books in my free time. I like looking at paintings and ancient scriptures, sayings and art. STEM subjects are my area of focus, both for learning and teaching. ˚⊱🪷⊰˚

Cozy Study Space 🍵🌿✨ (With Games From Steam)

    24th session

Welcome to a cozy study space to maximize your skills and grades! Whether you want to study for an upcoming AP class or the DSAT or want to focus on a new hobby, we got you covered! We plan to use different aesthetic themes in every session to motivate you and make studying more enjoyable.📚☕️ My goal is to make these sessions friendly for eastern time zones. Since it’s pretty rare to come across that on SHW, I want to create a place for people like me living in Asian/European countries to hang out and study! This space will mostly be using a longer version of the Pomodoro timer method with 40-minute study intervals and 5-minute breaks. During the 40 minutes, it's important for students to not open their microphones because doing so may be harmful to other students' learning. You can use this time to study anything you want, as long as you're being productive! *Open for co-hosts*

SHW Book and Literary Appreciation and Awareness Club

    4th session

Please don't be alarmed by the really long title of this series! This series is essentially for a book club. We'll be talking about books, films, comics, and more. You all can share all that you like! We can have fun debates and conversations about common tropes and ideas we see in the media. Please do not stop yourself from joining if you don't like books! Maybe you just don't like reading but I'm sure this club can allow you to take a greater interest in books. Even if you don't like books, we can look at many literary and non-literary texts like films, comics, mangas and more! Hey guys, I think I'll stick to holding one or two sessions a month.

The way you have through the concepts is pretty amazing. You cleared everyones and also my doubts effectively. I was someone who knew bit more than the SAT syllabus and due to that I was confused what is there and what's not, you cleared those confusion upto a good extent. I'm grateful to you for hosting such a series. Thank you very much and good luck for your future endeavours!

Arya, I really liked how you went about this session! You were able to have an open discussion with the learners that joined about literature and pop culture, which I find very refreshing. I can see that the core purpose behind the session is to redefine what reading is and to introduce multiple perspectives on it; you yourself said that you don't like seeing books as just a bunch of words. I like that you had a few guiding questions to get the conversation going when it seemed to slow down. Also, your presentation was so cute! I can tell that you put so much effort into it; the idea, format & design, and animations are all so cohesive and impressive! Great job!
