Your explanations were amazing! Not only were they intuitive, they also explained the thought process behind the approach. One question that stood out in particular is when you were going over the life-blood example. The standard approach would be to explain the question and then jump to the correct answer; however, you first started with a discussion about the text, building on the ideas of Aleena. Then, after you had emphasized how important annotating was by doing it yourself and explaining the relationships between the sentences, only then did you go to the answer choices. Nice work explaining what each incorrect answer lacked and WHY it made incorrect as well as why D was the most correct answer choice! Also, you handled Mia's question in a great way that helped her understand how the women "evaluated" an aspect of the trees.
