The tutor had a very deep understanding of the material in this session. As the material wasn't very complex, he was able to explain it to perfection, using examples of questions, and going into depth on what exactly a derivative is. For one questions, however, It took the tutor a minute or two to understand how to solve it, so maybe preparing a little more before hand would have helped with that one question, but this is just nitpicking. The tutor still showed a very good understanding of the material apart from that one moment.

The biggest thing I noticed from the zoom recording was Tarek's adaptation to learner needs-this is something that is very uncommon, and is, in my opinion, one of the most difficult, yet important things a tutor can do. As he continues through the lesson, I see him confirming learner progress, bringing up past questions, and relating the current question to the earlier ones. He engages the learner well throughout the session and asks a little to determine the learner prior knowledge, however, I wish he asked more, as he could be going a little fast toward the beginning if someone has absolutely no idea how to begin (for example on the second question he immediately refers the conjugate property when someone may not understand what a conjugate is), however, he then explains what it is as he uses it, which is good.

This tutor did an excellent job at adapting to learner needs as well as continuously engaging the learner, the tutor constantly asked good questions with the goal of helping the learner, as well as adapting his explanations to better help the learner understand. The tutor checked learner progress throughout the lesson, however, they could have done this a little more, as they were lacking a little in that aspect compared to the rest, which were all well done.

Tarek clearly understand the material very well, I saw only 3 questions, but they were very difficult in my opinion, yet he showed an immense understanding of them. He had the ability to explain the reason why certain answers were what they were in a very simple and easy to understand way, which displays clear understanding in the material.
