Yes! You seem very confident in the material, which can be seen from all of your explanations being correct content-wise and your seeming to grasp all the topics well. The slides are also very well prepared & have good information and well-picked-out practice problems from the college board. One thing I would advise, however, is to try and have slides that may be a bit more comprehensive. I think although they were very well-prepared, they could have had a little bit more information, as they seemed to focus on mostly the basics. A bit more information could have made them even better!

Yes, after you explained the slides, I think the learner seemed to be much more confident in the topics, just from the way she was eager to participate in solving the practice problems! She also corrected her mistakes along the way, thanks to your teaching, which shows that your explanations were effective in getting her to understand the material.

I really liked how the tutor interact with the learner where he asks questions and she answers. Although there were only the tutor and one learner in the meeting and it didn't went well because of internet, the tutor handled the situation well. I don't think there are anything that can be improved, The only reason the "builds on learners' ideas effectively during "we do" strategy" is an intermediate is because I think the tutor just straightly said the mistake's relationship to the topic, wasn't really skillfully turning it. I suggest you can ask why she/they does the step and tell what's understood wrong rather than gives the answer after the answering of the learner.

The tutor was well prepared, the explanations, visuals, and examples are helpful and it is obvious that the learner understood by replying and answering the questions asked my the tutor. The questions asked before and after explanations made sure the learner understood what she wasn't as sure on. The only thing that could be improved is just the amount of "umm" before answering the learner's question can decrease since the tutor knows the answer for sure so you don't get the learner nervous about if you actually don't know the answer.

Thank you for the session! You had great explanations to further my understanding of the materials.

You do a very good job in both the "I do" and "We do" strategy. You consistently asked the learner for ideas and input, and when given their ideas, you often reacted in a supportive and encouraging way (whether they got it right or wrong). For example, when the learner mistakenly said that the median was 12, you were supportive in first saying that you understood where they were coming from and then went on to explain where the misconception came from. This was a very kind response, but also made sure to clearly notify the learner where they made the mistake, so they didn't make it again. I also appreciated that you consistently made sure the learner explained their thought process and did not just give a straight answer. For example, when you asked which data set had a greater standard deviation and the learner said the second one, you asked her to explain her reasoning behind it, over just giving her answer. This definitely is great as the reasoning is arguably much more important than the answer itself. Keep up the great work!

You do a very good job of creating a comfortable learning environment! For example, one thing I appreciated was that you took the time at the beginning of the lesson to somewhat connect with a learner about the welcome question - about owning a dog & everything. Although it was just a few minutes, I think lingering on the question allowed for a more welcoming and supportive community, beyond just SAT math :) You are also very kind when it comes to wrong answers, reacting in a very respectful and supportive way. This was on multiple occasions, when you very respectfully corrected any misconceptions your learner might have had. One piece of advice I would have is to

Yes, the tutor uses a lot of questions and the learner answers before and after a topic was being taught to made sure the learner gets the concept.
