This course is designed for learners with a strong foundation in prealgebra who are seeking a more in-depth, comprehensive, and challenging alternative to a standard Algebra 1 curriculum. Using the chapters outlined in the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) Introduction to Algebra book, this series will cover key concepts in algebra with a focus on advanced problem-solving techniques and critical thinking. Course Details: Start Date: August 20th, 2024 End Date: TBD Schedule: Two 60-minute sessions each week on Saturdays and Sundays. Content: We'll explore essential algebraic topics, diving deeper than typical Algebra 1 courses, and tackling problems that develop a strong mathematical foundation and problem solving skills. Support: Make-up sessions and office hours will be available upon request.

We'll go through all of pre-algebra every single Friday for one hour. Students can ask questions and get clarification with current topics they are learning at school, but please note that no previous knowledge of Pre-algebra is needed as we will cover all the fundamentals. This series will prepare you for Algebra 1 and will be very engaging, so be ready to participate in many conversations and answer many questions. I will also stay an extra ten minutes in every meeting for anyone who has questions or needs extra help.
