He cares that each student understands

I like how you give your learners positive feedback after they make a contribution even during the brainstorming slides. Keep this up! Continue to build a supportive community by referring to your learners by name and encouraging them to tackle problems together as one team (with you as the facilitator).

Thank you for the session Aaron.

I liked your slides as they were concise and the images you added were not overcomplicated or oversimplified for the level of detail you were attempting to cover. Your explanations were accurate and your questions toward the learner were useful for measuring the learner's understanding. To improve, I recommend including more follow-up questions when a learner responds to one of your questions. For example, when you asked the learner about NADH and FADH2, after the learner gave their answer you could've asked if they knew the specific name of their role in cellular respiration instead of telling them outright.

I really liked your warm-up questions at the beginning of the session as you asked the learner about the reasoning behind their answers which shed a greater light on what they already knew. You continued to ask many questions during the session which you used to determine what additional explanation you needed to provide, however you sometimes were quick to jump to providing the full answer for a question when the learner's answer was on the right track but not fully there. In these cases, I recommend asking questions that will guide the learner towards the complete answer.

Thank you for the session! The 4 step method helped.

There is evidence in more comfortability in use of Desmos to solve systems of equations. At first, learners try to solve the systems algebraically, and you can see the switch in their explanations when they start to use Desmos and stop doing all the algebra.

I loved in the beginning when you asked about the learners' experience with systems of equations. I also love how you ask your learners to explain their reasoning once giving an answer, and also asking them follow up questions like "how might this look in Desmos?". Instead of taking the lead after the learner explains their work, try and ask leading questions so they get to the correct method/answer. For example, instead of saying "It's real number r, so r can equal zero", try saying "here it says real number r, so what number can r equal to that will make our calculations easier?"

I liked how you walked learners through their studying and pointed out some things that they may not know, like how 3rd parties may not have the best questions to study from but Khan Academy and the SAT question bank are great to use. This is good to help the learner create a plan to study and get the score that they want.

Thank you for the session and for answering my questions!

The questions throughout and at the end of the session clearly demonstrated the progress that the learner made. In addition, the learner discussed next steps with the learner (where to go with any questions and how to prepare for the next session).

I really liked the use of introductions in the beginning to open up the session! I also liked how you emphasized that it's okay to ask for help and not to know the answer by telling them to say if they need help in the chat. One thing that could be improved on is referring to learners by name as well as giving more individualized feedback during the session that shows that you care about their progress like saying "Mikayla, don't forget to write down your algebra on a separate piece of paper so you can look back at it and keep track of your work".

Thanks for a great session. I've learnt many things I probably would've never learnt in class

I liked how you went over some tips and tricks for the SAT, and good platforms to study on like the question bank on SAT and using Khan Academy. You knew what you were talking about with the SAT and gave the students personalized, well thought of advice.
