I really liked the example you gave on "Creative Thinking", and used the term "bifurcated" to explain how we get many different ideas which originates from one single idea when we are thinking critically. Coral Reefs was a perfect example to explain the concept of critical thinking. Also, I can understand that when the lessons become pretty advanced, it is hard to remember all the vocabulary that come up in the lesson, which is why you had to search some vocabulary on Google. But still you were able to relate a word to a concept we can visualize, and I really liked this stuff from you.

Tutor · 1 mo. ago

As I said earlier, she was able to translate "Difference between critical thinking and creative thinking", which shows that Hind S is actually learning the stuff that you are teaching her over the entire series. Keep it up! You had to end the session early, that's why you couldn't teach the contents properly. Now I don't know, maybe you would have tested her knowledge after you had taught the concepts if you were able to conduct the session properly, but I would say that you should apply some tests or practice questions BEFORE ending the session after the contents are taught just to check whether or not she understood the concepts that you taught. But overall, great job!

Thank you so much Hadi!!! I really enjoyed; your sessions are not only meaningful but also engaging and memorable. :D

You are obviously very proficient in both Arabic and English, and I liked how you went through a universities syllabus because it shows a real world application to Arabic and how it is used in the real world for your learners. You were able to translate some of the words that troubled the student as needed and gave further clarification on some words and phrases when needed as well. I liked your strategy of letting the learner read and then have them translate, both working on their speaking and reading comprehension skills.

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

Learners were attentive the whole session and learnt vocab and pronounciations of different words and phrases. You made sure that they knew what different words meant and how to deal with them in the future.

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

TYSM Hadi! Wonderful session; I really learned a lot! :D

Learner · 2 mo. ago

Thanks for the incredible session! I especially liked how you made me go over the translations a second time.

Learner · 2 mo. ago

You did a great job engaging the learner and ensuring that she understood and interpreted the sentences correctly. Good job providing a base when there was a new word!

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

I truly appreciate the way you conducted the session, which felt like a native speaker sharing their deep knowledge of Arabic syllables. The use of visuals throughout the lesson significantly enhanced the learning experience, making it more engaging and easier to grasp. Additionally, your approach of writing the alphabets on a whiteboard at times was particularly helpful, as it provided a clearer understanding of the material. The combination of these techniques created a well-rounded and effective teaching session that made the language more accessible and enjoyable to learn.

The best tutor award should really go out to you Hadi! Thanks a bunch for today's session :D

You directly translated some of the words that the student was speaking and gave some clarification on the translations which was really helpful in further helping the learner. I liked your strategy of letting the learner read and then have them translate, both working on their speaking and reading comprehension skills.

Learner · 3 mo. ago

The way you explained and solved the problem is a high-tier level. Everything is clear, explanation of DSAT's methodology and paying attention to other possible solutions.

Tutor · 5 mo. ago

You had a very good explanation and problem solving, but the main point is to engage the learner and make him understand the topic, not the question. You should've given the learner some time to answer your first question "How would you approach this problem" and being 100% sure that he understood the topic by giving him another problem to solve(example from yourself).

Tutor · 5 mo. ago

He was great, took me through the problems and made it so much easier tysm!

Learner · 6 mo. ago

The tour did strengthen the learner’s confidence by explaining the questions she asked without criticism The learner was very comfortable in asking any questions she had

Tutor · 6 mo. ago

Thanks Hadi! My test was already over but your feedback gave me peace of mind I scored well. You're a lifesaver!

Learner · 6 mo. ago

That was really good from you that you checked her prior knowledge before diving into the actual contents of the session. And I am not sure, but I believe this whole series is dedicated to Hind S, which is why you asked her and marked the words with which she can easily mistake for. That's good, showing that you have a positive interaction with your learner. I gave "Intermediate" level for "Continuously engaging learners" is because it states that you are frequently engaging learners to "solve problems", but the majority of engagement still comes from the tutor. For a session where the learners are learning new concepts, I would say this is the norm, because obviously we don't expect them to know each and everything. I really would have liked to give you "Advanced" in that rhetoric, since you were actually engaging her to try to translate the sentences for herself, and even applauded when she was able to translate "Difference between critical thinking and creative thinking".

Tutor · 1 mo. ago

I can see when she could not entirely remember the meaning of a word, she simply guesses what the meaning could be. And then you explain the word starting from where she just ended. That shows that she is comfortable making mistakes and thereafter learning from her mistakes. And this is how a tutor should be when a learner is learning a new concept, which in this case was learning an entirely new language. And in the end of the session, I can also see that she was telling you about you doing your homework and then she was telling about how she couldn't go to the university because she had a two day long holiday. This interaction simply shows a bonding between the tutor and a learner where both the tutor and the learner knows each other's situation. And clearly, this is a sign of where the learner is having a comfortable learning environment and a positive interaction.

Thanks a bunch Hadi! Best tutor ever! Not only do you totally get the uni skills but your Arabic reading and comprehension skills are amazing!!!! Please please please consider teaching me Arabic in the future; it would mean the world to me. Thanks again :D

Learner · 2 mo. ago

Not your first session with student, however you did a recap from last session which I really liked, and started with the student going right into reading sections of text in Arabic. I also liked how you asked the learner if they had any questions numerous times to make sure there were not any misunderstandings.

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

I liked how you started the session off by asking the learner "how are you?" This starts off the session with a friendly and welcoming tone, and is sure to get your learners welcome to the session. You asked the learner if they had any questions multiple times, which helped make the learner comfortable to ask questions. You also made sure to step in when the learner was confused or needed assistance in reading or translating, which was great that over the past sessions that you have had with the learner that you can pick up on the cues that the learner needs help. I don't know if the background/emoticon thing is something between you and the learner but I really like it! This connection is super cool to have with a learner!

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

Thank you so much Hadi! I really enjoy learning with you aaaaa :)

Learner · 2 mo. ago

Good job correcting mistakes while avoiding discouragement, Using the learner's own words, you skillfully navigated any errors. Also, good job being open and inviting towards the learner.

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

Thank you Hadi T so so so much . I am really grateful to today's zoom session with u. Honestly, u are SUPER SUPER SUPER patient and knowledgeable. You know how to break things down so I understand better . Again, thank you for your time and patience

Learner · 2 mo. ago

As I said above the visuals, the teaching method and interactions with the students such as welcoming them and asking them how their day was and teaching them slowly based on their needs did create a comfortable learning environment and also strengthened the learners' confidence.

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

Learner definitely learned a few vocab words and their translations while reading from the texts. You made sure that they knew what the word meant and when they encountered it later they knew what it meant and how to translate it, which is great.

I enjoyed the blooket although I thought a couple of more questions on it would have been useful. Nice refresher on the numbers and sort of introduction towards some basic foods which I didn't know the words of. Very amiable hosts as well!

Learner · 3 mo. ago

I know I didn't stay for the whole thing, but I really enjoyed listening in and I look forward to the upcoming sessions.

Learner · 3 mo. ago

You did a great job by calling your learners by name and asking them how they feel. But the only problem is that the learner must feel comfortable and not like he's just here to get his problem solved.

Tutor · 5 mo. ago

Quick, easy, and simple

Learner · 6 mo. ago

The tour has a very good understanding of the topic and explains very well He even asked the student if she got the question again and again engaging her actively

Tutor · 6 mo. ago

Thank you for all your help!! It was a very helpful and interactive session

Learner · 6 mo. ago

Thank you for your input! The explanation was a bit confusing because I assume you explained it the stats way and we did it the simplified precalc way. TYSM though :)
