One of the easiest way to confirm that there was a comfortable environment is by seeing how comfortably the learner can ask questions. Here, the learner seemed to have no issues asking questions before the lesson conitnues. Great job! The leaner was also very comfortable making mistakes/answering your questions. I do think you can use more words of encouragement but the learner seemed confident and comfortable so great job!

Nice job checking the learner's prior knowledge! You asked him about topics he struggle the most with and he was able to ask you specific topics. Great job using this information to tailor the session as well! The leaner was fully engaged and following along. You adapted when needed, responded to questions really well and overall, it was clear the learner was understanding. The learner was vocal throughout the session and it was clear that he was not multitasking. You asked questions throughout the teaching process and adapted based of the learner's answers. It was also great that you checked in with the learner multiple times throughout the session to ask whether he wants more problems or just continue. Towards the end you guys did a bunch of problems and you as well offered to give him lessons on Khan and other problems you had. Also helping each other with SATs was really cool. This was a really good session!
