Yes, there is evidence that learners made progress since learners who made mistakes were able to get thorough explanations from the tutor and were able to verbalize that they understood their mistakes afterwards. Over the course of the session, learners were also able to use the tips and strategies given to be more effective in answering problems.

I really like how you turned on your camera and showed your engagement in the session, which also helped students feel more comfortable around you and engage in the session. I also like the way you greeted Carriana at 00:00:18 by asking her, "Hi! Carriana! Is that how I say your name? I just wanna like, make sure." Referring to your learners by their name and learning how to pronounce their name is a great way to connect and create a respectful learning environment. You also do a great job at sparking conversation by saying "How are you doing? The week is starting today. How are you feeling?" This is great at getting a sense of where learners are at mentally and get them prepared for the session. You also do a great job making learners comfortable by adding ice breaker questions and adding your own personal anecdotes. Next time, you could also refer to learners' responses later in the session to create better connections with each learner and boost their engagement.

The intros are a great idea! You told learners to state "when you're giving the sat and a tip that you found really helpful." This part of the intro allows you to understand your learners pre-requisite knowledge about the SAT. Using this information from the intros, you can take your sessions to the next level. these responses can help you plan future sessions! You encouraged learners to answer practice questions yet did not pressure anyone to un mute or type their answer in the chat. when learners did not participate during the first question you stated "The right answer is B. Now does anyone want to share what they think it is and why?" This question encourages active learning. I know it can be challenging to try to have learners participate so you did an excellent job tackling this tricky situation.

This action shows your dedication to making all of your learners comfortable! During the intros, I liked how you encouraged learners to participate either in the chat or by un muting. You effectively engaged learners using the "I do" and "we do" strategies nicely. First off, while explaining the problems, one strategy I particularly liked is that in one instance, you asked a question relating to your explanation and told your learners to answer it in the chat. That way, even though you were still the one explaining, your learners were able to get involved. I also liked how you actively encouraged your learners to volunteer to explain their answers to the questions. This way, your learners were able to describe their thought processes, and through this, you were able to properly critique them if they got the wrong answer.

You definitely understood the questions yourself. For example when you were explaining question one on the Course Challenge it is obvious you knew what was going on. You read through the question and were able to pull specific details like the ballerina aspect. You even looked at the question through a different perspective and if you were talking about India. I think sometimes your explanations were slightly lengthy and wordy, but the message was given very well and you definitely knew how to do these problems.

Yes, the tutor was very well prepared by using a Google Slides presentation and the Zoom annotation tool to demonstrate her work. You also did a great job helping students lead problem-solving while guiding them through the problem. When students made mistakes, you made sure to reinforce what they did correctly and correct them where they made a mistake. One example of this is at 00:25:11, when you said, "Yes, that's true. Okay, good points from both of you, and I like how you both went off the text. That's super important. But I want to like highlight one thing. What's the question here?" By recorrecting students, pointing them in the right direction, and highlight key parts of the question, you thoroughly demonstrate your mastery over the subject. Next time, you can also try to demonstrate a problem by yourself using the "I do" strategy before you let students attempt the problem on their own. This would be really beneficial for students since they will know how to approach and solve a problem step by step, including what key points to look for.

You asked learners about their past experience with the SAT. This is a great question as it can help you understand the learners needs. When a learner asked you about the challenges of losing focus during the SAT, you responded by saying "And then also you have a 10 min break between English and math. This is kind of more generally in the test as a whole, but I would make sure you take something that's like that's like a quick burst of good sugar, not like sugar, sugar, but like something fruit that way. The energy comes to you immediately, and it's easier to focus" This is a great personalized response that I am sure the learner will remember! The learner sounded very relieved and appreciated your response!

The learners made progress throughout the session, mostly while solving the practice problems. As they occasionally explained their answers, they were able to incorporate concepts that were present in the content portion of the session at the beginning. Also, they asked questions relating to the material that showed they are developing a better understanding of the content.

I think you did a really good job checking prior understanding, The session was based on the understanding of a specific learning and you tailored your material to that. If I had one piece of advice it would be to include the second learner. Yes the session was meant for a specific learner, but that learner had said they wanted to study everything and the other learning had mentioned a specific thing. Maybe throwing in one or two problems geared towards both learners could help. I chose intermediate for adapting to unique learner needs because I think you did a good job asking for learner engagement and adjusting explanations. I think you did a good job engaging the learners. I do think sometimes the explanations did go for a little bit without learner engagement, but overall asking for them to solve the problems and why they got answers was well done. Lastly I liked how you always checked if they understood the problems or had questions. And then to close you asked how you could better your teaching to the students. Great Job!

I think learners were comfortable. I like that you introduced yourself to both and welcomed them. I especially liked when you gave a little more background about yourself when explaining some problems. I think you were definitely able to create a comfortable learning environment. WIth strengthening learners' confidence, overall I think you did well, just if maybe you let them explain their mistake a little longer or how they got there instead of asking why that may not be the answer. Overall I feel learners were pretty comfortable in the environment and you did a great job creating that.

The session was entirely focused on solving practice questions and you did a good job throughout. Firstly, asking your learner what they would like to learn was good. The Walkthroughs with her was great. You allowed her to attempt the questions first and then explained where she wasn't clear. In some explanations, you also offered effective tips and strategies too. I also liked that you didn't explain concepts in a difficult manner when the questions were difficult.
