About

Hey, I’m Sidra! 😊 7th grader, I want to be an IT specialist 💻. I love computer science 📜

💻(not good at it but completing a course on coursera) and biology 🧬 (as long as there’s no dissecting 😬).

I’m here to learn and tutor in topics I know. I learn best when things are broken down into simple steps—complicated explanations = brain shutdown 💤.

Outside of studying, I like sketching ✏️ eating 🍕, and watching K-dramas 🎬 (Twinkling Watermelon, Queen of Tears, etc.). Also into music 🎶—Enhypen (bias: Sunghoon 🧛🏻‍♂️), One Direction), Blackpink (Jennie ), and IVE (Wonyoung 🌸).

Oh, and I’m an INFJ 🧠-- a lone wolf. DM me if you need help! 🚀

You asked some effective questions regarding capitals and countries to make sure your learners stayed engaged throughout the session. I also liked how you encouraged the participants to research some of there own information outside of the game. Some key points that you could include to strengthen the overall benefit of the session would be giving some extra feedback on the learner's progress and correcting the students spontaneously. For example, when the students got the capital of Australia, Canberra, wrong, you gave them the correct answer without explaining some interesting reasons behind why. You could elaborate on why many assume the answer to be Melbourne or Sydney, and even provide some history behind the city, or interesting facts that can help the learners remember that Canberra is the Australian capital.

Sidra, I liked the uniqueness of this session and how you created an interactive game to help your learners guess their countries. The visuals you gave were helpful while also being engaging. When you were playing the capital game, whenever the learners got the question wrong, there was no post-evaluation of how the answer was wrong. It would be helpful to give them some information about the capital to help them better identify it in the future. In summary, the session covered some surface-level detail and could b e covered in more depth. But your learners did seem to be quite engaged by the session you had prepared, as your material was very well thought out and detailed.
