General Q&A for Algebra 1, feel free to join and leave whenever!

Every week, we will go over Algebra, more into depth than some other groups.

If one line is useful, let's see what we can do with two lines. In this unit, we learn how to write systems of equations, solve those systems, and interpret what those solutions mean in a real-world context. Twice a week, we'll go over one topic. Topics include: -Introduction to Systems of Equations -Equivalent Systems of Equations -Systems of Equations in Content Each session will include topic questions or an activity for you to practise what was covered in the session, and be encouraged to come off mute or type in the chat for general participation, such as asking or answering questions.

Each week we will either go over specific lessons students need help with in khan academy or have a session where it is a general Q&A. Hope you join and we can make this a fun learning experience.

Quadratic factoring and multiplying are essential skills in Algebra 1, involving the process of breaking down quadratic expressions into binomials or expanding their products. Factoring helps solve equations by finding the roots, while multiplication uses the distributive property (or FOIL) to expand binomial and trinomial expressions. Mastery of both techniques is key to understanding more advanced algebraic concepts.

This course will help students develop a stronger and more in-depth understanding of Algebra I than a regular school class. With a smaller class size, this class will meet twice a week and go through the material at a more personalized speed in order for the students to have a complete grasp of the material. This course will build a strong foundation for students which will prepare them well for more advanced classes in high school such as Algebra II and beyond. Course Details: Start Date: January 18th, 2025 End Date: Adjusted depending on class speed Schedule: Two 60 minute sessions per week, Saturday (1:00 pm - 2:00pm CST) + Monday (8:30 pm - 9:30 pm CST) Topics: We will be covering all topics in Algebra and more including variables, linear equations, ratios, graphing, inequalities, functions, etc. Help: Extra explanations and help can be easily scheduled upon request.

Hey learners! For many of you, school's back in session! To help you prepare for Algebra 1, each week we will be going over some Algebra 1 concepts to help you throughout the school year.

I will hosting sessions 1-2 times per week and will answer any questions from Pre-Algebra to Geometry. This includes specific questions to general topics. I will continuously add dates to this series, so dates are not yet set.

Each week, I'll briefly explain one topic and we'll do some practice problems! Excited to learn and grow together!

This course is designed for learners with a strong foundation in prealgebra who are seeking a more in-depth, comprehensive, and challenging alternative to a standard Algebra 1 curriculum. Using the chapters outlined in the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) Introduction to Algebra book, this series will cover key concepts in algebra with a focus on advanced problem-solving techniques and critical thinking. Next week, we will cover the basic of Algebra foundation and will tell them the most common mistake which generally students make & will tackle the target towards the perfection as much as possible. In this standalone session, we will practice solving Systems of Linear Equations by graphing. It is recommended that the learner know how to solve a system of linear equations by graphing while also knowing the forms of a line and how to manipulate them.

I'll be doing weekly sessions going through the Algebra 1 course on Khan Academy, with scattered sessions just to go over any concepts you don't understand or problems you need help with.
