Algebra II All About Polynomials
3rd session
A comprehensive deep-dive into polynomials! Manipulating polynomials is the basis for Algebra II and more harder subjects, so I want to make sure you understand this concept well! Prerequisites: You would benefit most from this session if you are familiar with Algebra I skills (solving equations, expanding expressions, etc...) Session Structure: Each week, we will have a 60-minute class. We will discuss last week's homework for around 10 minutes, and then we will jump into the content. For approximately 20 minutes, we will: - Cover material, - Answer FAQs about the topic, - Review/link back to previous material. During the next 15 minutes of class, we will work through practice problems. The final 15 minutes would be left for Q&A, homework help, or more practice problems if we have time. On some weeks, there is also an optional 20-minute extension class 15 minutes after the main session has finished. If you feel you've mastered all of the content and want to learn even more, take a 15-minute break and hop into the next session! We will alternate between doing harder practice problems and learning new, more difficult content. Note: If you are late and you haven't been let into the Zoom meeting, please send a message in the group chat or direct-message me so I will remember to let you in! Weekly Homework: Each week I will send you a google document or a PDF (or any version of the file you prefer) with around 5 practice problems for you to do. The problems are sorted by difficulty, I understand you would be quite busy and I don't want to stress you out, so its not a requirement to do any of these homework questions. However, doing some problems in your spare time can help you solidify your knowledge. If you didn't have a chance to do the homework problems, that's ok! We will go over it in the beginning of class for a few minutes. Series Structure: We will cover a lot of topics for Algebra II. If you would like to cover a topic not listed here or if you think a topic should be removed, please message me in the group chat! If others support the change in the course structure, I will change the series accordingly. Otherwise, I might use your request for the extension class. Polynomial Introduction ✔ 1. What are polynomials, and why do we care? ✔ 2. Polynomial Arithmetic 3. Polynomial Division 4. Systems of Equations Quadratics Deep-dive 5. Quadratics and their graphs 5E(xtension). Other ways of expressing parabolas 6. Factoring Quadratics for Roots 6E. Completing the Square 7. The Quadratic Formula 7E. Derivation of the Quadratic Formula I will add more once I get to know you and what topics you are most interested int! What to Bring: Bring some pen and paper, because we will be working through some practice problems! It would also be great to have a calculator unless you want to exercise your mental arithmetic.

Algebra II Full Course (Advanced and High Level)
7th session
We will have a fast paced course at a higher level, it will resemble courses in schools which are more prestigious. We will try and focus on helping students *understand* rather than memorization or speed solve. Everyday at 3 PM West Coast time (PST) and 6 PM EST East Coast. Anyone may join at any time. The problems which we will do are significantly more advanced, and will help you a lot (I can guarantee :) ). The problems which we will do are hard, if dedication is lacking, there is no guarantee for success in this course.

Math Competition Course
7th session
In this course, we will be going over MATHCOUNTS, AMC 8, AMC 10, and beyond depending on the skill level of the class. Why should you take this course? Although not necessary for school math, the methods taught in this class can be very beneficial in solving problems in a "smarter" way. This class will teach you tips and tricks schools tend to not teach. From my personal experience, competition math has made school math very easy and offers me much more insight into understanding concepts. Additionally, competition math can be very helpful in boosting your resume for high school and college. Many of the top schools like MIT ask specifically for your AMC scores, so it will make you stand out from other students. What will we learn in this course? We will spend time learning about the three different categories in math: Algebra, Number Theory, and Counting & Probability. Some examples in each of the categories are: Algebra: Vieta's Formulas, Rational Root Theorem, Simplified Quadratic Formula, Inequalities, Factoring Tricks, Telescoping, etc. Number Theory: Divisibility Rules, Modulus, GCD and LCM, Euclidean Algorithm, Pigeonhole Principle, etc. Counting & Probability: Binomial Theorem, Permutations and Combinations, Casework, Complementary Counting, Stars and Bars, etc. How will the classes operate? A normal class will consist of a 60 minute lecture and practice problems, and a 30 minute problem session with individual help. However, these schedules will fluctuate rapidly as the lectures will most likely require more time.

Algebra II Study Group & Practice
14th session
Each session, you as learners pick what we will do. We can either do sessions practicing klan academy questions, study groups (studying on random questions together), or homework help. For homework help please message me in advanced. The end goal of this series is to help everyone succeed in Algebra II and move onto Pre-calc.

Intro to Math Proofs
Starts
We will learn about the fundamentals of mathematical proofs. We will cover the following major topics: - sets, which all of mathematics can be expressed as - logic, which allows the thinking behind proofs - proof strategies, including proof by contradiction, using cases, the pigeonhole principle, and many more. This series is for you if you are strong with algebra and are interested in getting into mathematical proofs. I took a semester-long course called Intro to Mathematical Proofs at my school where I learned important, foundational concepts in math proofs. I have taken numerous exams and completed many projects where I demonstrated high proficiency in class content. I really enjoyed the course and I'm excited to help you learn the basics of proofs!
