AP Biology Unit 4: Cell Communication and Cell Cycle
Starts
Hi! My name is Mia and I am a junior in high school. I took the AP last year, and got a 5 so I am excited to be able to help others to do the same! Unit 4 of AP Biology is pretty content heavy, so I will most likely split it into 2 parts, with the first session focusing on cell communication and the second on the cell cycle. I want to be able to explain things clearly and answer any questions so I think that splitting it up will (1) keep the sessions from going on for too long and (2) allow for more questions and active learning. Throughout the session, I will provide MCQ from the AP biology course in Khan Academy and I will go through how to answer them. At the end of the session, I will go over an FRQ and how to answer it effectively using the rubric from Collegeboard. If learners want, I can also set up office hour sessions where I can go over specific questions, so please privately message me. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me through SchoolHouse!

Campbell Biology Course: Useful for AP Bio, IB Bio, and Olympiads
30th session
The IBO Chairman hailed Campbell's biology as the "Bible" of biology. It is a fascinating book. If you love Biology, I am sure that you will enjoy it! Campbell Biology consists of 8 UNITS and 56 Chapters. I will try to go over 1-2 chapters per week based on the potential of the class. If I see that the class needs more time to Understand the topics, I will lower the speed making it 1 chapter per 2 weeks. Some chapters will be skipped and I will ask the students to study them independently. Hope to see you! Kind Regards, Mohammadamin Y + Jack R Please let us know in the group chat if you don’t understand something or missed a session, we would be happy to schedule extra sessions for you!
