AP Chemistry Unit 2: Lewis Diagrams, Resonance, Formal Charge, VSEPR

Starts

This session will review key concepts from AP Chemistry: Unit 2. I'll cover how to draw Lewis dot structures, how to calculate bond order/bond strength, what resonance structures are, and how to calculate formal charge of an atom. Lastly, I'll explain the VSEPR theory about molecular geometry as well as the hybridization of different molecules.

Learn AP Chem Unit 2 (Molecular and Ionic Structures and Properties)

3rd session

Welcome to Unit 2 of AP Chemistry! In this series, we will dive deep into Molecular/Ionic Structures, which involve learning about bonding, shapes, and much more. If you want to build mastery, get practice, and are striving for a 5 on the AP exam, then this is the place for you. Looking forward to working with you! **NOTE** AP Chemistry is NOT an introductory chemistry class, you need some basic experience(ie. honors chemistry, or chemistry 1)

Chem Club 24/25

11th session

Chem Club is BACK for the 2024/25 school year! This series is for all you chemistry enthusiasts to learn new and exciting topics typically not typically taught in schools and to share your passion of chemistry with others. We have kickstarted the series again with the incoming school year and are excited to continue engaging with our thriving chemistry community! For those who are new, each week, we will cover a new topic and have a fun quiz at the end of the session to challenge our knowledge. The winner of the game gets to pick next week's topic! For instance, in our previous series we covered topics like shampoos, textiles, forensics and even nuclear chemistry! Feel free to join sessions as and when you are able to, but we would love to have you as regular participants and form a consistent group. Our last series had 100+ signups, so do try to commit each week in order to prevent taking another keen learner's spot. Looking forward to seeing you in sessions! 🧪
