Upcoming Sessions

Language Exploration

    5th session

Hello! This series will hold basics of many languages. Each lesson will be a new language or a continuation/ make up of one already being taught. There will be a variety of tutors bringing their expertise to the series. The goal is to learn a little bit and decide which language(s) are your favorite to study more in-depth. I am looking for cohosts to help! Especially if you know any Asian language!

Ryan often asked students what they remembered from previous lessons, like about the Altai Mountains. He could improve by doing a quick recap at the start to see what everyone already knows about the Mongols. Ryan was good at explaining things in different ways, like using the crayon analogy. He also answered questions well. To improve, he could check more often if everyone is following along, especially during longer explanations. Ryan did a great job keeping everyone involved. He asked lots of questions, had students read slides, and used fun elements like the "Hero Brian" character. This kept the lesson interesting and interactive. While Ryan often asked if there were questions, he could do more to check if students really understood the material. Maybe adding quick quizzes or having students summarize key points would help.

Ryan showed a great understanding of the Mongol Empire. He covered key points like Genghis Khan's leadership, the empire's expansion, and its effects on different regions. His explanation of Russia's isolation using the crayon method was really creative and helped make the concept clearer.

Ryan praised correct answers and encouraged participation. To improve, he could highlight more specific achievements or improvements from individual students. The session felt relaxed and fun. Ryan's use of humor and casual conversation made it easy for students to ask questions and share thoughts. The "Hero Brian" character was a cool touch that made the lesson more enjoyable. Overall, Ryan's teaching style is engaging and informative. To improve, he could focus more on checking understanding throughout the lesson and providing more specific feedback to students. But his creative approaches and deep knowledge of the subject make for an interesting and effective lesson.
