Yes, the learners started getting more and more examples right, and the learners started feeling more and more confident.

Tutor · 10 days ago

Yes there is evidence that the learners made progress. It seems that at the beginning, Bernard was having trouble with word problems. Towards the end, Bernard was getting them right and understanding it well. Great job!

Yes, some of the errors in the learner's code were ameliorated by the end of the session. She is obviously very grateful for your tutoring as well.

Arjun, you do a great job helping the learner out with her python project in this session! You're evidently very knowledgeable about the concept and the interface that the learner is using. You ask a lot of appropriately placed questions about the learner's project that help you finetune your advice, such as the question about her intent with the project. Thank you for entertaining the back-and-forth between the learner and yourself; talking about a project or ideating in general is facilitated greatly in a group environment, and this session acted as that environment for the learner. I could tell that your ideas for changing the code flourished because you were able to talk it out. Keep up the great work!

Tutor · 3 mo. ago

Your learner definitely made progress, as demonstrated through the practice problems. She became visibly more comfortable working with algebraic expressions and equations. Excellent work!

My Tutor Arjun is a very nice teacher he made me on the understand the concepts of the items I did not even know he is friendly far he has good explanation good slides he's inactive and especially he is nice he will focus on each and every individual in the class and help everyone no matter what he would not go to the next problem without knowing did everyone Understand it if no one was able to understand it he would teach it he would explain it. He is a very nice teacher and if you want him as a teacher I highly recommend a 10 out of 10

Great work Arjun! I could tell that you had a strong background in Pre-Algebra and were able to assist learners, explaining concepts in a way that made to them.

Thank you for explaining and helping me understand further about this fun topic!

It's a little difficult with the co-hosting, but overall both Andrew and Arjun did a terrific job explaining the concepts. Rather than telling Bernard the answer, you'd explain the steps to get there, which is amazing! I think the thing you both did the best was keeping each other on track. If one of you maybe forgot a step or something, you'd remind each other what to do. So, great job, both of you!

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

Thank you for answering each question I had thoroughly and even supporting your answers with examples!

Learner · 2 mo. ago

Thanks for the help Arjun! You are a very smart young man.

-You ask the learner how you can help her in this session. I see that this session was created for her concerns, so this is a great start. By simply giving her space to explain what she needs help with and how she is already doing with her python project, you did great in this category. -Thank you for asking specific guiding questions about the program that the learner is using, such as if she can see what line the error is in. You also ask what this program is trying to achieve and what goals the learner prioritized when initially writing this code. This demonstrates active listening on your part to her concerns and that you are genuinely interested in helping the learner out. -Throughout the session, you work together with the learner to figure out what the problem is with her code and how to help it run more efficiently. You bounce ideas off of one another and never shut each other down. This is a really nice tutor-learner dynamic to employ! -Since you're working together to figure out the issues with her code and it's not just you explaining all the issues to the learner, the conversations you have are enough to confirm the learner's progress.

Tutor · 3 mo. ago

Explanations helped a lot because I was able to figure out how to debug the code and feel more confident in my understanding of python. 10/10 would recommend that anyone contact Arjun! Looking forward to the other series :)

Learner · 3 mo. ago

You did a great job being accepting of questions. This is a really important thing to be doing, so good work. You also were really friendly towards the learner, greeting her at the beginning of the session by name (and asking her how she pronounced it). This is a great habit to keep up!

Tutor · 3 mo. ago

Yes, the learner has a better understanding of Unit 2 of Algebra towards the end of the session. His contributions are more often correct as the session progresses, demonstrating that he picked up your tutoring pretty well.
